Helping busy women eliminate leaking, improve core strength, and minimize pelvic pain...

without a waiting room!

Dr. Alaina K. Vince, PT, DPT, PCES

I am a licensed physical therapist with active licenses in Michigan and California. I enjoy working with patients to create a personalized treatment plan that empowers them to join in their healing journeys. I have practiced as a traveling physical therapist in South Carolina, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Oregon, and California for several years, working in a variety of settings including skilled nursing facilities, outpatient orthopedic/neurologic, and home health, and am most passionate about working with clients with pelvic rehab needs.

I received my Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Promotion from Michigan State University in 2012. I then graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2015 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and have been treating patients across the United States since. Pelvic health has developed as a clinical passion, and I enjoy treating a wide range of pelvic health issues including bowel and bladder dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and chronic pelvic pain. My main focus now is on bringing care into the comfort and convenience of each client's home to address all contributions to a person's health progress in a clean, safe, and personalized environment.

Pelvic Health Matters

Bowel & Bladder

Pelvic floor physical therapy can improve urgency and frequency (overactive bladder), stress urinary incontinence (leaking with coughing, sneezing, laughing, running, etc.), urinary hesitancy, constipation, and fecal incontinence.

Feeling a lot of pain down there in your day-to-day life? Is you abdominal pain strange and hard to pin down? Having pain with intercourse? Difficulty reaching orgasm? Pelvic floor therapy can help, so that intercourse is fun and pleasurable again!

Core Weakness

Still feeling "stretched out" or weak after having your last kiddo, or feeling like your core isn't what it used to be? Pelvic floor therapy helps you to reconnect with your core correctly so you can return to running, weightlifting, picking up children, or anything else required for the sport of parenthood.

TESTIMONIALS

I feel very lucky to have found Alaina. At 6 months postpartum I was having pelvic floor issues, and feeling like I hadn't fully recovered from giving birth. I went to a Women's Health doctor, but the core issues were not resolved. I contacted Alaina, and the next day she was able to make a home visit for therapy. Home therapy was extremely helpful, as taking a baby to physical therapy was a major barrier. She made me feel totally at ease and was very professional as a pelvic floor specialist. She helped me understand what was going on with my body and resolved my pelvic floor issues within two visits by providing an individualized exercise plan.  I feel better from the treatment, and from knowing she is capable of helping me if I experience any more issues.

Prior to birth of my fourth child, I was experiencing bladder leaking.  My midwife referred me to Dr. Alaina Vince.  Six weeks postpartum I was still having this issue and met with her in the comfort of my home.  From the first visit I was comfortable with Alaina and her presence was truly supportive.  Each visit was tailored to my concerns, my issues and my progress.  By the end of the sessions my issues were almost nonexistent!  These sessions provided me the confidence to take control of my pelvic floor health.  She provided me with the tools to be successful.  I believe every woman that is suffering from pelvic floor problems should see a pelvic floor therapist and I highly recommend Dr. Alaina Vince as that therapist.

Alaina is incredible at what she does! She makes you feel comfortable from the get-go. She’s extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and makes recovery attainable, not overwhelming. I can’t recommend her enough for a pelvic PT!

-Debbie V.

I have been to four other pelvic floor therapists before Alaina, and was not making much progress. Through working with Alaina, I have improved multiple aspects of my pelvic health. She helps me build a program I can do in between visits, and I learn something new each visit. She is the best pelvic health therapist I have ever had.

-Paula M.

Alaina is an excellent PT! I went to her for issues with post-pregnancy incontinence while sneezing, coughing, and jumping on trampolines. She gave me exercises and a schedule for the routines, and the results came quickly. She listened to my feedback and made exercises more challenging if they were too easy, or made them easier if they were too challenging. She also helped me with leg numbness that I was experiencing while walking and running, something I didn't expect from a pelvic floor therapist. Go to Alaina, consistently stick to her exercises and follow the routine she gives you, and you'll feel like a new woman!

-Kelly V.

I feel like when I was doing therapy before, I was on the wrong road. After three visits with Alaina, I feel like I am on the highway! So many of my symptoms have improved already, and I feel so much more confident!

- Stephanie S.

I think that doing pelvic therapy is one of the best processes I have ever done for my health. It has helped me to connect my brain and my body to improve my stability, coordination, and overall strength. I would recommend this to every woman.
